At some point in our lives we have been told we look like someone famous. This ESCAPE we do not want you to tell us, we want you to show us who you look like that may be famous or infamous.  Our panel of judges will award prizes to the participants who most clearly demonstrate their "almost famous".

Every one comes to Sioux Narrows on July 1st for Canada Day celebration!!!

July 1st

The beautiful town of Sioux Narrows is fully open for business and will have Canada Day activities throughout the day for you participation should you choose. Our fireworks party has been reserved under the ESCAPE name at Big John's Restaurant (a short walk from our dockage). If you are hungry arrive at 7 PM. For cocktails only anytime after 7 PM. Dockage is reserved at the government dock and the marina for our overnight alongside.

July 2nd

Bring your fitness gear and workout with ESCAPE'S very own fitness guru Barb Newman at 11 AM for about an hour.

Our flotilla will depart at 1400 (2PM) for our overnight anchorage at Yellow Girl. Our Quarterdeck Potluck Dinner shall be of Spanish/Mexican cuisine.  Please contribute your portion/s for about 10 people and each group will hop from platform to platform filling their plates.  Two prizes will be awarded by the sitting commodores for "best dish".

July 3rd

Wakey Wakey!! Breakfast on your own prior to our departure for Big Narrows Resort or Wiley's through the amazing Sunset Channel. Costs for Big Narrows or Wiley's to be posted shortly  

Fish or Fitness at 1300 (1PM).  Games and wine tasting hosted by Vice Commodores Stan and Barb at 1630 (4:30PM). Commodores' Dinner in "Almost Famous" attire to begin with cocktails/appetizers at 1900 dinner 1930. 

July 4th

America the beautiful celebrates Independence Day.  Breakfast, hugs and kisses and departure for home.

If you are contemplating cruising in your boat for the first time on Escape and need help hocking up with an Escape member or members for the first days cruise to Sioux Narrows be sure to check out the forum. Members who will be attending the Summer Escape with their home port and phone number will be posted for you to call and ask question and hock up with for the 45 mile cruise the first day from Kenora area to Sioux Narrows. If you are coming from a different area of the lake an Escape member will guide you to Sioux Narrows by boat

New participants should have a marine radio for communicating with other members in their division to help guide them to each new location safely around islands and shallow spots in the lake.
